The pedagogical framework at Moreton Downs State School is based on the Framework for Intentional and Targeted Teaching. (fisher & Frey). This framework identifies 4 components. 1) A Culture of Achievement 2)Establishing Academic Purpose 3) The Gradual Release of Responsibility 4) Formative Assessment.
Our pedagogical framework is heavily influenced by Lyn Sharratt's 14 parameter learning framework. Across our school, staff are united in our shared belief and understanding that all students can achieve high standards, that we have shared accountability and ownership of student learning and we engage in multiple activities to 'put the faces on the data'
