This year’s results have been the closest for some time. Congratulations to all participating and competing students battling the warm weather and each other for places on the school team and for simply finishing the event.

28 points separated first from second and 6 points separating 2nd and 3rd. Just finishing the run earned each student competitor and participant a point for their sporting house.

2019 Athletics Carnivals The 2019

The Moreton Downs State School Senior Athletics Carnival was completed during week 3 of term 2. After 2 days of intense competition Perkins House ran away with the points to win their second successive carnival. Perkins accummulated 2001 points across the two days of Athletics and Novelty activities. Subsequently 45 students have been selected in the Moreton Downs Magic Team to compete at the upcoming Redcliffe District Athletics Carnival trials. We wish all competitors all the best in these trials.

The Junior Athletics Carnival was conducted Week 4 of Term 2 under cool grey skies and light showers with the juniors lighting up the track with great athletic endeavour.

Competition was tight throughout the day with mighty Meninga taking home the Prep to Year 2 trophy for the first time in many years.

Our congratulations to all students across both carnivals participating with wonderful sportsmenship and team spirit. The support within each House Team and across the school was competitive and inspiring to witness...
